BIO
From the depths of St. Kilda’s nightlife to the eternal dust of Afghanistan, Australian-based vocalist Susie Goble has sweated over some rather weird and wonderful stages.
At 15 Susie found herself on national television performing live on The Royal Children's Hospital’s Good Friday Appeal. In contrast to her pop debut, she was invited into the studio to record as a guest vocalist for power metal band Black Majesty, reaching international success across Europe and the United States.
For over ten years Susie has worked as a touring artist both nationally and internationally. She has performed as a backing vocalist for a wide range of artists including Rita Ora, Dannii Minogue, Charli XCX, Vanessa Amorosi, Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), Thirsty Merc, Daniel Merriweather, Jon Stevens, Jessica Mauboy, Michael Paynter, Anthony Callea, Tim Campbell, Richard Clapton, Bilal, Leroy Burgess, Evelyn Champagne King, Bonnie Anderson, Nathaniel, Samantha Jade and Darren Percival.
She has shared the stage and supported artists including Miley Cyrus, U2, Kimbra, The Script, John Farnham, Icehouse and Daryl Braithwaite.
Covering a wide range of genres from soul to folk to rock, her voice has swept through Melbourne venues such as The Palais, Rod Laver Arena, The MCG and those beyond our shores. She is currently fronting acoustic duo Nathan & Susie and 80s electro soul group Mondo Freaks, letting loose and funky at Meredith Music Festival, Golden Plains and other festivals including The Red Hot Summer Tour as well as live television and radio performances on shows such as Hey Hey It’s Saturday, Spicks And Specks, Sunrise and national radio stations including 101.9 The Fox and Nova FM.
One of her most honourable roles to date has been being a part of The 7pm Project trip to Afghanistan (stationed in Dubai and Afghanistan) performing for Australian and international troops with Michael Paynter together with comedians Charlie Pickering, Lehmo and Tom Gleeson in 2010.
At present Susie has been on the airwaves providing vocal IDs for Austereo, Image On Line and radio stations across Australia and Europe including 101.9 The Fox, Hot 30 Countdown, 104.1 TODAY Fm, SAFM, B105, 92.9 and 90.9 SEA Fm.
Works include jingles for Coca-Cola, L’Oréal Paris, Jetstar, Cartoon Network, Sexyland, Take 40 Australia, The Matt And Jo Show and Fifi and Jules.
Fresh from an eight-month stint in London, she is currently working for various production houses in the UK and Europe such as Audioforce (Berlin, Tokyo) and Blut (Hamburg).
The power of music, her love affair with harmony and perfectionist attitude has fueled Susie’s every musical move. From Neil Sedaka to Daft Punk to Bulgarian choirs – Susie’s eclectic taste in music is very much present in the instrument that is her voice today.
